Anxiety Doesn’t Have To Be Permanent

If you want to be free of the crippling effects caused by anxiety or the awful worry that you might have another panic attack, then you’ve come to the right place.

Anxiety and panic are part of the body’s natural response to danger – also known as the ‘fight or flight’ response. We can all experience some degree of anxiety at the thought of a future event or when faced with upsetting or stressful situations. However, when a person becomes oversensitive to everyday occurances, it can seriously impair the quality of their life.

I can help you understand your panic and anxiety and replace the irrational thoughts or feelings with new, more appropriate responses.

This means that you will :-

  • Understand your triggers
  • Learn how to cope with panic and anxiety
  • Learn how to switch off unhelpful thoughts
  • Notice how thoughts of panic become less and less frequent as the treatment develops
  • Reduce your overall stress levels
  • Allow you to be more positive and confident as the triggers get eliminated

Which comes first – your thoughts or your feelings?

Some people know they are anxious because they have a feeling, for example, in their chest or stomach or at the back of their throat. Others know they are anxious because they are thinking about the situation they are facing.

Similarly, some people know they are having a panic attack because they think they can’t breathe or that they will lose control, go crazy or die. Others feel a physical feeling, such as trembling, sweating, shaking, racing heartbeat, palpitations or dizziness and others an emotional feeling, such as nerves, fear or terror.

Either way, by working together, your new self awareness and understanding will enable you to be more in tune with what is actually going on physically mentally and emotionally.

This awareness can then be used to reduce or eliminate the symptoms, and teach your subconscious mind to ‘not notice’ the things that trigger your panic. This allows you to approach situations that would have previously worried you in a calm, controlled way where you can increase your confidence and notice more and more having power and being in charge of your mind and body.

Anxiety responds well to both Counselling and Hypnotherapy, so if you are ready to take control of your anxiety and panic, please book your appointment online below, or contact me.
